Aid Association for Lutherans, Office and Cafeteria, Appleton, Wisconsin

For the design of the 50,000 square foot office, which was primarily intended to offer a supportive and friendly work environment, the office program Nelson Workspaces was developed. The interior design with three cafeterias (The Club, The Village, and The Café) was given the Interior Design Award in 1978. In addition, 14 artists were invited to design 25 large textile banners. The only guidelines set by Nelson and Company were a unified format and a motif that could be described in two words, so that the banner could be used to mark their area of the building.
