Chairs from Machines, Traveling exhibition, U.S. and Japan

This exhibition showed a selection of significant industrially produced chairs from the past 100 years. After its presentation in the New York showroom of Herman Miller, the exhibition was on display in May 1960 at the Long Beach Museum of Art in California. Afterward, it traveled to Japan, where it was presented during the International Design Conference at the department store Isetan K.K., complemented by furniture by Eames and Nelson from a private collection.
