La Potagerie, 554 Fifth Avenue, New York

La Potagerie was the first New York restaurant to serve exclusively soup. The concept for the interior design divided the relatively limited space into three seating areas and the bar, behind which the visitors could see the fresh ingredients that were used to make the soups. At the end of the narrow space far from the street, an artificial waterfall was installed. The lighting concept was awarded the 1970 Lumen Award.
