Olivetti

George Nelson was a design consultant for Olivetti (Ivrea, Italy) from 1965 until 1971.  The collaboration, as one source maintains, quite possibly came about on the recommendation of Ettore Sottsass, who was employed by Nelson for a few months in 1956, and worked for Olivetti in Italy.

With the Editor 2, Olivetti-Underwood (New York, New York) attempted to get a foothold in the American market. Among other things, the designers concentrated on the size and appearance of the keys.
