Public Property, exhibition U.S. Customs House, New York

This low-budget exhibition, financed by the New York Landmarks Conservancy and held in the empty U.S. Customs House, presented photos of the other historically important buildings also owned by the federal, state, or city government. The goal of the exhibition was to place a focus on the value of saving these buildings, of which a few had been declared national monuments and many awaited a new use. A brochure also designed by George Nelson and Company accompanied the exhibition.
