Superior Electric

The lighting designs for Superior Electric were probably created in connection with Nelson's plans for the Holiday House. Photographs confirm that four of the eight lamp models were used in the house. However, they were probably not produced in larger series. It is unclear whether the other four models proceeded beyond the design stage. Nelson's systematic approach is already evident in these early lighting designs: individual components such as shades and bases were used in a variety of different models.
